Simsbury American Legion Tryouts - U19, U17, U15 - 2025 Season

Simsbury Legion will be holding tryouts and player evaluations for our SUMMER 2025 season on Sunday October 27th from 12pm-4pm at Memorial Field - 52 Plank Hill Road - Simsbury. We are evaluating players for our U19, U17 and U15 programs. All players with birth years of 2006 through 2012 are eligible

2022 Fall Clinics

2022 FALL BASEBALL

2022 FALL Registration is now OPEN.
 

 

Dear Baseball Families:
This fall, the Simsbury American Legion Baseball program is pleased to present a series of instructional clinics for interested players.


Clinics will be open to anyone born in calendar years 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007 that reside in the following towns: Simsbury, Avon, Canton, Granby, East Granby, Granby, North Granby, East Hartland, and Hartland.
 

Clinics will be held on one weeknight per week (specific day may vary week by week) and on Sunday afternoons from 10:30am – 12:30pm for six weeks beginning the week of September 12th (ending the week of October 17). We expect there to be 12 total dates.

The specific dates and times will be announced no later than September 5th. Clinics will focus on individual and team skills with the goal of preparing participants for their primary spring and summer seasons. One or two “friendly” games may be played as interest and availability permits.

 

Cost will be $150 for the entire program.
Alternatively, players are welcome to attend individual clinics at a cost of $20 per session.

Thanks to all players who attended Try-Outs for our 2025 Simsbury Summer Legion Baseball Teams.

Players have been chosen for our U19, U17 and U15 programs. 

 

Accepted Players Only - (A coach has formally notified you of your roster spot)
Use the registration link below to submit your initial payment to commit to and reserve your roster spot.
Accepted players who do not submit an initial payment of $150 by 12/15/2024 run the risk of losing their roster spot.

 

Registration fees for 2025 are as follows:

$725 - 2025 Summer Season

$700 - 2025 Summer Season - Early Pay Discount - One Tme Payment

 

$150 - 2025 Summer Season Initial Payment - Payment required by 12/15/2024 to reserve your roster spot.


Note: your $150 reserved spot payment will be applied toward your oustanding season balance.
No refunds will be granted if a player does not submit follow-up payments as scheduled or if a player commits to the team then decides to not play. (Certain exemptions may apply).

 

Balance payments options will be posted to our site in 2025.

Congratulations James Fagnant

Simsbury American Legion congratulates James (JJ) Fagnant on his recent commitment to attend and play baseball at the University of Richmond beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. 

JJ has been a member of the Simsbury American Legion 17U and 19U teams from 2020 through the present and joins a long list of Simsbury American Legion alumni that have played baseball at the next level.

Simsbury Legion graduate EJ Lavoie wins 2017 Connecticut American Legion College Player of the Year

 

 

EJ Lavoie, Western Conn. State University Captain and LEC 1st Team All-Conference Short Stop was awarded the 2017 Connecticut American Legion College Player of the Year at the CALB Hot Stove Banquet January 5th,  2018 at the Aqua Turf. Lavoie finished his WCSU career batting .393 in 2017 and ranked in the top 10 all-time in AB’s, Hits, OBP, TB, Games Played , and 7th in BA finishing at .351. In the Connecticut Collegiate Baseball League (2015-2017) he was an 3 time All-League Selection for the Simsbury SaberCats. While playing for Simsbury American Legion (2010-2014) he was a Rawlings Futures Showcase All Star, Zone 1 All-Star twice and ended his career leading Post 84 to the Zone 1 Championship in 2014 and a berth in the final 8 teams in the State. Lavoie was also awarded the Elmer Vincent Scholarship in 2014.
